windizzi is no more.....

Dear windizzi user,

It is with sadness that I have to announce the closure of windizzi.com

It was a project with an incredible ambition but at this point in time, I have taken the decision to shut it down.

The reasons were primarily 1) the costs of running the service were getting out of control, after being subsidised by my other businesses for nearly two years and; 2) the quality of the search results were beginning to suffer after our organic search results partner, Amazon, decided to pull out of the Search market.

Am I sad about it?

No... It was openly a “mad idea that just could work” right from the start and I gave it all that I could.

Like all entrepreneurs, I’ve had hundreds, if not thousands of business ideas in the past, many of which never see the light of day, and many of which have not succeeded, just like windizzi.

However, the most important thing is to TRY...

As any Entrepreneur or successful Sportsman knows, each “failure” is actually a success because it’s a step closer to success... Did you know that the great inventor Thomas Edison “failed” over 1,000 times in his attempt to make the first electric lightbulb?

Asked by a reporter at the time why he was “wasting his time” with this new invention, he replied “Young man, you do not understand how the world works. I have not failed 1,000 times. I have successfully discovered one thousand ways that do not work, which brings me one thousand times closer to the way that will work...”
